Z cups.....brass instead of silver?

I heard that the z cups are brass while the standards ones are nickel. Would that make them slightly lighter and account for the quicker response?
I like the feel of brass cups over silver so I am sure I would like them but I was just curious if that might account for the different people feel in them.
