Thanks for your follow-up message.
As you will have seen by now, the '2 Tonys' replied to your query quite independently (not by any means an agreed plan of action!). Now, seeing Tony Chidell's message, I realise I ought to have mentioned the 25A cup also. In relation to the Paxman 4C cup, the 25A is a little deeper but is less cuved or 'bowl' shaped in its inner contour; also it has a larger bore (4.8mm) than the 4C.
Although the 25A is 'heading in the direction' of a low-range mouthpiece it is by no means a 'specialist' low range cup. It's quite interesting to find that many 1st and 3rd horn players use it, and I myself use it as my 'middle-of-the-road' cup but of course I switch to shallower or deeper cups for the 'extreme' repertoire, while retaining my usual 'M ' white-acetal rim.
