I certainly did not wish to insult anyone.
I deliberately avoided making my posting a personal response to anything any previous contributor had said - for fear of the very kind of comment I actually received! So much for tact. Anyhow, I notice it's been removed.
I take your point about the fact that I could have asked questions rather than statements, but then of course it would have started to make the whole thing very tentative. It so happens that I do believe the points I made are true. However, I am NOT saying that the typical female's relationship with technical matters is worse than the typical male's - simply that it's different. You can drive a car without knowing how the clutch works.
That, it seems to me, is where the die-hard feminists miss the point; they seem to want us all to believe that males and females have the same brains, the same minds and so on.
Thank God, we don't. And I don't mind adding here that there are an awful lot of typically male traits that I utterly deplore.
