Can I say, quite categorically, that over the many years that I have used the PHC range of mouthpieces I have NEVER EVER had any complaint about the quality nor the precision of their manufacture, irrespective of their method of production. Quite the contrary, in fact - I think that they are a beautifully engineered product. As a professional physicist involved in acoustical work (I am not an 'expert', whatever that means) I'd also like to comment that from a purely objective point of view all the mouthpiece components are engineered to a higher tolerance and surface finish than is required for their acoustical function. But hey - who's complaining if that's the case! Like other contributors to this forum, I simply have a healthy, inquisitive interest in the PHC team's most recent developments, and I am very sorry if the motivation of my earlier questions/thoughts/comments was misconstrued.
With a bit of luck, one of your new 'Z' cups will improve my playing to the extent that I can get my job back as 4th horn with the Outer Mongolian Touring Orchestra so that Old Jim won't have to listen to me practicing any more.
Good luck with your ventures.
