Yup that's pretty much it. I played on a Dennis wick larger mouthpiece and liked it a lot- there were too many bad aspects with the mouthpiece though. So I decided to take a Chance with PHC and ordered a large rim and a shallow cup! I'm still building endurance as I've really changed my embochure but man, just something as simple as a mouthpiece has really broadened my horizon of horn playing. For instance, I've always had a Monster low register with a bad break between low c and the ascending f above that- with the new mouthpiece I can pretty much set my lip where I need to to play a 3rd space C and there is no movement of the lip at ALL, all the way up and all the way down! My horn Prof was very pleased. he's not the type that likes fooling around with products especially when it's extreme but we are both VERY pleased with my progress after the first lesson. I don't have any fuzz in my register and I can play Fortissisimo all the way down to pedal notes all the way up to high C's. Almost too good to be true! now how's that for a success story? If it would be possible I'd love being a clinician for PHC and give my two bits on anything new you have coming out. Contact me if you're interested! I'd love to have some of the American players around here move out of the dark ages. I have also mailed Mr. Halstead about Perry pipes on 8d's----any insight?-------
Thank you once again-- please contact me with any new info. on pHC mouthpieces.
