I double-checked my PHC cups. A 24A I bought recently used, had a tiny, and I emphasize tiny, ridge about 5mm back from the cup. The cup had been silver plated on the inside by the previous owner, perhpaps that is where it came from. The other, a 23, that I bought new about a year ago, has a similar ridge, which was why I considered attributing the other mouthpiece's ridge to PHC. I did not mean to complain. I was just curious about the effect of less than perfect (to the naked eye) smoothness in the backbore. Thanks for the info on the trumpet mouthpieces. The ones that show it a lot are new Vincent Bach models. BTW, I think the PHC cups and rims are unbeatable. Hope in your restructuring moves you include a plan to assign distributers here in the USA. Even with the pathetic dollar, I think you would do well here. [unpaid endorsement]
