Actually, I have a natural trumpet that I made under the excellent guidance of Messrs Seraphinoff and Barclay. Being only a moderately skilled horn player, when I had finished it I couldn't tell if all the notes were there. I was fortunate to be able to give it to a top exponent of the subtle art of clarino trumpeting, J F Madeuf, who took it up to the 16th harmonic with ease. Its mouthpiece receiver was mot made with great dimensional accuracy or attention...
I think it was JFM's lip that did it.
Forgive my spelling mistake - who did the experiments you mention?
