I did some looking and now I think we need to define what we are talking about. Some sources are calling the venturi the smallest part of the throa of the mouthpiece. Some sources are calling the diameter of the leadpipe the venturi. I always thought the venturi was the space between the mouthpiece end and the leadpipe where the air was in purgatory.

What say you wise men?
