I think Yamaha professional models are great. The 667's are wonderful. I have a sour seed sown deep in my soul against Yamaha for some reason, but most of my friends are playing the Yamaha 667 or 668. They love them. The scale is even and in tune. And you can get some feeling out of them. They seem to hold their value well, if well taken care of.
Their are some Hans Hoyer out right now that sound really good. And Mark Atkinson out of California is doing some good reasonably priced copies of the older good horns.
