The horns you mention (Holton 188 and Yamaha 668 Mk II) are definitely not 'entry level' horns, which is what I think the previous 'used or new' poster was refering to, presumably Holton 378 and Yamaha 567?
Never heard of the Pizka _classic that you recomend. Is it actually any good for about Ł4659? Who plays one?

I've noticed that a new, bog-standard Alex 103 with fixed ebll now costs about Ł5300 from Paxmans!
Why do Paxmans put only Alex prices on there website?
Why are they so coy about revealing the cost of a Paxman horn? Maybe I can't find my way round the website but I can't see any Paxman prices except accessories, mouthpeices etc.
Does anybody know e.g. what a new Screwbell, lacquered Paxman 23M costs?
